Chrome OS & Why It Could Be Useful
You might be asking “What are these new Chromebooks that have hit the market lately??” I’ll tell you-Google has now launched their own operating system called “Chrome OS” and its exactly what it sounds like, their web browser “chrome” as an operating system. Forget all those use less programs on a PC or mac that take up unnecessary space, the chromebook uses only a web browser and media player.
With advances in HTML5, you can now run full featured applications within web browsers such as video games, word-processing or presentations. Chrome OS might limit some features, but where it lacks it makes up with up to 9 hours of battery life, an 8 second machine start up and cloud storage. The best part about the cloud too is that from any chrome based computer you use, it will look exactly like your own machine.
